Welcome to this crazy, little thing called pregnancy!

Well, hello there!
I am very anxious to share mine and Brian's journey into parenthood with everyone!
For those of you that haven't heard, we are going to be having a baby! We found out on February 23rd when I took my first at home pregnancy test and had everything confirmed with a positive blood test on the 27th.
As of right now, our due date is November 6th, 2012 and I am approximately 4 weeks and 2 days along.
What does that mean, you ask?
That means that our little munchkin is about the size of a Poppy Seed and is already giving me a few of those unruly pregnancy symptoms. I am not happy to announce that I have already suffered from some pretty intense heartburn, nausea, tenderness in those annoying places, and an agonizing roller coaster of emotions! Isn't it insane how quickly these symptoms occur?! Thankfully Brian hasn't been home to witness me blubbering like a baby while watching the Disney World commercial on t.v.
I haven't had too many food cravings...yet! What had initially given us a hint that we were expecting was my random craving for Chicken in a Biskit crackers; which I haven't eaten since I was a child. Brian has never seen me eat them in the entire four years we have been together, so he knew immediately that something was up. I did crave a disgusting, greasy, Bacon Cheeseburger the other day; which gave me an insane case of heartburn that I'm pretty sure will prevent me from eating another one for awhile. I have craved cake and cookies, but that was something that I always craved around the time I was to start my monthly cycle, so I just didn't even bother fixing those cravings.
I am taking my Prenatal Vitamins and drinking enough water to send me to the rest room at least every half an hour. I am sleeping a lot more; which makes house work much harder to maintain. I suppose that I should get in all of the extra sleep that I can now, anyways.
I have started a pregnancy journal for the little one and I am enjoying the growing bond that we are creating even before they are aware of it; it is a wonderful feeling, writing to my baby.
My pregnancy aside, I am happy to announce that one of my best friends just found out that her and her husband are also expecting! I am very excited to embrace this wonderful opportunity! I get to share being pregnant with my best friend! I find it astonishing that her and I both ended up pregnant at the same time without even planning it.
Congratulations, Aubrey and Adam!
